Tasmanian student excels in National History Challenge
A Tasmanian student has won the award of National History Challenge Australian Young Historian. Niall Maurici of Taroona High School, a year 10 student, was also named national winner in the special category, Australia's Heritage, sponsored by the National Trust. Niall was also joint National Winner of the Year 9/10 year level division. His essay was a study into the turning points and changes of Tasmania's oldest operating independent cinema, The State Cinema.
