In 2004-2005, Koninklijke Bibliotheek conducted a survey on the use and development of standards in digital archiving within the international library world. This resulted in an overview of the state of the art on digital preservation in the national libraries of Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
