Group of Eight response to the Productivity Commission draft research report on public support for science and innovation
The Group of Eight (Go8) welcomed the broad thrust of the Commission's Draft Research Report on Public Support for Science and Innovation. In particular, the Go8 supported the Report's findings about the value of basic research, the need to focus available resources to support research and training of the highest quality and to ensure that funding targets public good research where the flow of economic, social and environmental benefits is likely to be greatest.
