National Awards for Quality Schooling winners announced
The Australian Government provided $1.165 million in prizes to celebrate the 2007 Australian Government National Awards for Quality Schooling winners. The inaugural Medal of Distinction for the Best National Achievement in School Improvement went to South Australia's Seaford 6-12 School, which received $50,000 to invest in the school community. Seaforth 6-12 School was recognised for its excellent achievements in improving the school's performance through a restructured leadership model - demonstrating how effective leadership leads to improved student outcomes. Other winners are listed on the DEST website.
