The digitAlexandria project offers a network architecture for sharing and researching scientific documents. It is based on peer-to-peer technology for the exchange of documents and is compatible with the OAI-PMH protocol for searching open archives and distributing their content. The project has received European Social Fund financing aimed at supporting innovative business initiatives and the transferring of expertise from the research field to the business sector, highlighting the know-how of researchers in the region.
