Chief Scientist opens inaugural Scientists in Schools symposium
Over one hundred teachers and scientists will gather at the CSIRO Energy Centre in Newcastle for the inaugural Scientists in Schools symposium on Energy and Climate Change. The symposium is part of the national Scientists in Schools programme that links scientists with schools across Australia. Australia's Chief Scientist, Dr Jim Peacock, is the programme's champion and is delivering the opening address at the symposium. CSIRO, 24 October 2007.
