National tuition programme to continue in 2008
The Minister for Education has approved implementation of the 'An Even Start - National Tuition Programme' in 2008. The programme will provide tuition for literacy or numeracy to the value of $700 per child to students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 across all sectors, who do not meet the national benchmark in literacy or numeracy.
