OpenReader Consortium is a nonprofit organisation developing open digital publication standards. They aim to serve publishers, consumers, e-book retailers, librarians, and other key stakeholders in socially responsible ways. OpenReader is an electronic format for e-books, articles, and other publications ? e-texts, in other words. OpenReader will work on handhelds, tablets, laptops, desktops and other computing devices. The format is based on XML and builds on the nonproprietary Open eBook Publication Standard.
